It’s officially summer! To me, that means BBQs, beach days, getting out to enjoy the outdoors and spending time with loved ones on longer days.

This year I am also approaching summer a bit differently. With the last couple of years behind us I am fully ready to re-embrace my social life and really get out there. This is why I am officially introducing Summer Fridays!

My first introduction to the idea of Summer Fridays was many years ago while on a working holiday visa in Australia. I’m not sure why it’s taken so long for me to introduce it into my schedule, but this is the year.

What exactly is Summer Fridays?

If you’re into skincare, you’ve probably heard of the brand Summer Fridays. Although a great brand, it is not the Summer Fridays I’m referring to. Summer Fridays are a popular work schedule arrangement that allows employees or business owners to enjoy shorter workdays or take the entire day off during the summer months, typically between July and September. It’s a flexible policy designed to promote work-life balance and provide individuals with more time to relax, recharge, and enjoy the summer season.

The concept behind Summer Fridays is to recognize the importance of well-being and leisure, especially during the warmer months when people often have the desire to spend more time outdoors with family and friends or pursue personal hobbies and interests. By offering this perk, employers acknowledge the value of employee satisfaction, engagement, and productivity.

How Summer Fridays work in my business:

For entrepreneurs like myself, Summer Fridays provide an opportunity to strike a healthy work-life balance and rejuvenate without compromising the progress of my businesses. By leveraging streamlined systems and tools like Dubsado (you know it’s one of my personal faves!) and its automation capabilities, I can streamline operations and ensure a smooth workflow, allowing me to embrace the benefits of Summer Fridays fully.

So, whether it’s soaking up the sun at the beach, exploring nature, or spending quality time with loved ones, I plan to use my Summer Fridays to offer valuable opportunities to enjoy the season to its fullest and create lasting memories while keeping my clients organized and automated.
